Best Buy will take almost any electronic item and recycle it for you. As of the time of this writing (12/2011) anything with a video screen is charged $10, but they give you a $10 gift card. It is suggested that you call ahead to make sure they are still doing this.
Your trash can and recycle bins should be placed in the street, not blocking the sidewalk to walkers. Due to high wind conditions throughout the year, it is important to label your bins with your name, address, and phone number so they can be returned to you when they are found a block away.
